These have always been a childhood favorite of mine growing up in the 70's and they still are today.
Ingredients | Decorated Royal Icing Flower Cookies2 ½ cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder2 teaspoons baking soda1 teaspoon salt1 cup white sugar1 cup packed brown sugar1 cup butter, softened2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cups rolled oats2 cups flaked coconutDirectionsPreheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease baking sheets.Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together into a bowl.Cream the butter and the sugar together. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the flour mixture and beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Stir in the oats and flaked coconut.Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheets.
